Stay Warm And Above All Else Stay Dry!

We have had a lot of questions about our upcoming DrySuit Certification and Drysuit Rental program.

We have ordered the Bare Trilam Tech Dry Drysuits. Because these do not have the ring seals for the neck and wrists they are a special custom build by Bare for us. It can take up to 6 weeks for the Drysuits to be made and shipped. Once they are in store we will advertise them as being available for rent to those that are verifiably Drysuit Certified.

RENTAL INFORMATION

To rent one fo the Drysuits there are conditions and stipulations apart from being either Drysuit Certified or have registered for a Drysuit Diver course with us. With each rental the Drysuits will have a set of uncut seals installed. As everyone's physiology is different the seals quite often need to be trimmed. Especially the neck seal so it is not too tight. A subject that is taught in the class.

Because of the "tailoring" or cutting of the seals specifically tailored to you and not the next diver. Therefore there is a charge for the seals that are tailored. And then those seals are yours to keep and use the next time you rent a Drysuit.

In addition because of the nature of the Drysuit there is a refundable cleaning deposit taken at the time of rental. If the Drysuit is returned soiled the deposit will be forfeited due to the time and products needed to clean the Drysuit.

SDI DRYSUIT CERTIFICATION

Want to stay warm and extend your dive time? Then dive dry! The SDI Dry Suit Diver Course will open up a whole new world of diving to you. Many of the diving environments around the world are better experienced in a dry suit. Why? These areas have an abundance of marine life waiting to be seen and photographed – they just happen to be a little colder!

Dive locations such as Silfra Iceland where you can dive between 2 tectonic plates Dry Suit's are mandatory Dry suits are also used in tropical water like Florida during the cooler months. This course allows you to develop the knowledge and skills to properly use a dry suit.

The SDI Drysuit Diver Certification begins with the interactive SDI DrySuit Diver eLearning. Once you have completed your clearing and in-store review and fitting session our next stop in the pool or pool like conditions environment to practice Drysuit Skills.

Once you have mastered those skills the next step is 2 actual dives with the Drysuit practicing the skills you just learned in deeper water. Building your comfort level and familiarity with the Drysuit.

Interested in becoming a SDI Drysuit Diver? Then let us know and we can start you off with the eLearning and schedule your class anytime from mid January onwards.
