Rainbow River Night Dive

We have been planning it, so here it is. Expereince Rainbow River like never before - as an incredible night dive. Enter a world where in the dark of night, water flows from deep underground vents. Around those vents in the warm current of the river, marine life flourishes.

Marine life that finds the means for their survival in the dark of night. It’s here an eco-system unlike that of the day dwellers waits to be explored.

Secrets hidden in the dark of night that are just waiting to be explored.

We welcome you to the Rainbow River Night Dive.

Meet up will be between 7:00pm.  You will be able to drive down the boat ramp, unload your equipment then park in the overflow parking lot across the road from the main entrance. The park it's self will be closed. 

We will brief on the dock area, gear up and board the Water Taxi. 

We will take the Water Taxi up to the "concrete wall" where we will drop into the water, move our way over to the side to group up. Once everyone is in the water we will defecend and drift with the river exploring the wonders of Night Diving!

Unlike day diving the water taxi will remain with the divers drifting slightly ahead of them with all it's underwater lights on to help guide the divers in the direction they should be drifting.

We will stop at the Hole. There we will surface and take a break in the shallows. Enough time for everyone's dive computer to reset then defend again to drift back to the dock are where we will exit the water.

You will need the following equipment:-

A dive flag (one pereach sub-group) - A glow stick for the back of your tank - A flashllight and a backup - A audible signal aka whistle.
