ADVANCED ADVENTURE DIVER

Let your underwater adventures continue as you apply your scuba skills as you explore new dive sites and experience new underwater activities.

 

 Learn and explore which diving specialties interest you, and what type of diving you will enjoy the most. 

 

Gain more confidence, experience and capability as you hone your skills and begin to consider the direction and your interests you would like your diving to take.

WHAT IS THE ADVANCED ADVENTURE COURSE?

The Advanced Adventurer Diver  is fun and exciting course that is all about advancing your diving skills.

 

The course is designed to advance those skills  through a series of 5 different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Instructor. 

There are 2 required specialties, Deep Diver and Underwater Navigation Diver which are the foundation of continuing diver education. The remaining specialty dives you choose from the extensive list of specialties we offer.

 

These may include: Night, Drift, Wreck, Drysuit, Marine Ecosystem Awareness and many more.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

To enroll in Advanced Adventure Diver course you must meet the following criteria.

 

You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health.

 

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU NEED?

During the class you will use basic scuba equipment. The Dive Place at Sea has BC's, Regulator sets with dive computers available for rental.

 

Required items that the individual diver must have include a compass for navigation, a knife, visible and audible signaling devices such as a SMB (Safety Sausage) and whistle.

 

If you select Night Diving, 2 flashlights and Glo-Sticks are also required. 

 

Your The Dive Place at Sea Instructor will explain the equipment that you need, and may suggest additional gear, such as a surface flag buoy, line and reel which will be useful throughout your diving career.

HOW TO GET STARTED?

Once onboard MV Lara stop by The Dive Place At Sea desk to enroll in the course, pick up your SDI Open Water Scuba Diver eLearning Code, the required paperwork and releases – and you can start learning right away.

 

SDI eLearning Open Water Diver Online gives you the background information you need to dive safely and allows you to study at your own pace through an interactive computer-based program.
